Our camp focuses on self-discovery and innovation. We provide your child with the tools needed to obtain high-paying jobs in the fields of computer programming, music mixing, web design, architecture and robotics.
Many companies pay extra if an employee is able to speak multiple languages. This is why we expose your child to Spanish and Mandarin. With our guidance and support, your child could be the next Mark Zuckerberg, Daft Punk, Steve Jobs or Bill Gates.
The X Kids also makes its own education apps and web games. We are currently focusing on chess, spelling, math and ebooks. We feel that it is important to lead by example.
Our summer camp is very limited in space. We believe that a class should consist of no more than around 20 students. The best way for a child to learn is to be exposed to multiple disciplines with a small class size. Our average student-to-teacher ratio is 1 to 6.
Course by Description and Age:
While all students have access to our entire variety of equipment the camp is divided into two groups based on age. Students ages 5 - 9 focus on robotics with Makerblock, Lego and K'nex. With the help of Rosetta Stone students are encouraged to learn a new language like Spanish or Mandarin.
Our students ages 10 and above will be exploring the world of game design, Photoshop, and digital music production. Students of all ages have access to our iPad learning station where kids can be exposed to educational games. In addition to playing the latest state-of-the-art apps, we also develop our own games that teach chess, mathematics, and reading!
We have a dozen iPads at The X Kids, all loaded with the latest and most fun educational games. In addition to the latest apps from the best developers, we are constantly designing new educational games of our own to give our campers the biggest advantages in high-tech, digital learning. Campers learn math, reading, writing, spelling, and even chess in this unique environment. The hands-on nature of this equipment means the iPad learning station is ALWAYS FUN!
Making computer programming simple, easy and fun. Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web. As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
LEGO ignites every student's imagination. Building skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity, students are inspired to understand the subjects of math, science, and engineering. Robotics teaches the language of creation, and builds connections in childrens' lives beyond the classroom, to the real world.

With Makeblock students can make professional and stable robots, machines or even art-ware. It's super easy to use. The only limit is what you can think of. With Makeblock platform, the only necessary tool is a screw driver. There is no soldering or special skill needed. No electronic background, not familiar with programming, no problem. Every child can use Makeblock to turn their ideas into reality.
K'NEX is the next generation of construction sets. It inspires creativity, builds self-confidence and encourages interaction among children. Education sets are effective learning tools that help your child learn basic and complex science, technology, engineering and math concepts.
Design and edit your own art. Play with photos, create new drawings, or just color! Students can turn everyday digital photographs into surrealist-style artwork using Photoshop. This activity helps students enhance their creativity and better understand surrealistic techniques by working with lighting, color, and movement to transform their pictures.
Serato Sratch Live is the industry standard software used by music producers and DJs worldwide. Children will learn basic song structure, electronic synthesis, and audio mixing.
